Daniel Brown lives in Istanbul, Turkey, where he directs the Institute for the Study of Religion in the Middle East (ISRME).  He has studied in Lahore, Cairo, Oxford, Boston and Chicago, and he has taught at Mount Holyoke College, Smith College and the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary in Beirut.  His interests include modern Muslim intellectual history, Hadith studies, Muslim-Christian relations, and P.G. Wodehouse.
